I wanted to be a secretary in a nice posh office, I became a PA and loved it but had to give my job up due to a serious accident, somethings just aren't meant to be but I bet you love your kids big time.

Every year, it was different.
Before I started school, I wanted to be a mommy, a scientist, host of a kids TV show, an actress, a singer, and an architect.
In Kindergarten, I wanted to be a teacher (because my teacher wasn't very good and I knew I could do it better). In first grade, I wanted to be a librarian because I'd first started going to the library and loved the place. In second grade, I wanted to be a singer pretty badly, still, but I also wanted to be a hero and a mentor. In third grade I met my best friend, who could sing so much better than I could and I re-examined my long-time interest in singing, realizing I actually loved writing the songs more than the singing in front of people part, so I wanted to be a song-writer and began writing songs. That was when I realized I simply loved writing itself. In fourth grade, I started wanting to be an author specifically-- to write books. In fifth grade, I still wanted to be an author, but started drawing more and wanted to be an artist, too.
In sixth grade, I started middle school and began thinking about the life and uncertainty of being an author or artist, so I wanted something to fall back on. I still wanted to be an author and artist, but looked for something to go to college and study. In middle school, I thought through perhaps 100 different jobs and finally chose lawyer.
In high school, I worked my way toward law and writing and art.
In applying for college, I realized law school was too far away and pursued psychology instead.
Right now, I'm a sales clerk working on my writing, though.

A writer. I ended up running a restaurant. Then I went to work for a commercial floorcovering installation business (still there) and now I'm preparing to become a mommy myself for the first time. I have a feeling that the last job mentioned will be my true calling.

I wanted to be in advertising. Instead, I got a much more important job -- that of being a mom and touching the future.
Now I have plans to return to school and pursue a degree in interior design. I will be 50 when I go back to school. Go me!
