I remember meeting John Travolta twice on two separate days. Both days he had a big, goofy smile and asked everybody how they were doing. He seemed like a cool guy.
Sandra Bullock was also a very cordial person.
Travis Stever and Chris Pennie (from Coheed and Cambria) were also really amusing, nice guys. The lead singer, however, sat in the corner, smoking a cigarette, ignoring everybody.
Chris Kilmore (the DJ from Incubus) was also very cool and easy to talk to.
Have you met any famous people who turned out to be really cool?

I met Cas Walker - no sh*t. He's an old dude (not even sure if he's still alive) who had a radio variety show - he gets credit for finding Dolly Parton and gave tons of other country, folk, and bluegrass musicians their start too.

I was at Ciderville Music store on Clinton Highway outside of Knoxville TN. They sell a lot of accoustic guitars/banjos/fiddles/mandolins, though I was there having my electric worked on. This old guy just walks up and says 'Hi - I'm Cas Walker'. By bizarre coincidence, the only reason I knew who the f**k the guy was (sort of) was that he had actually been on an old episode of 'Scooby Doo'.

We chatted for a minute about music while I picked and grinned on an accoustic. I was mostly about heavy metal back then - but I could play some mean blues. He seemed impressed, though at the time I didn't actually know he was in the music biz. Definitely a nice guy.

Many years ago, I visited Princeton and was introduced to Albert Einstein. I was tongue tied, and he knew it. Dr. Einstein
could not have been more gracious or charming and put me at ease immediately. We did not talk about Physics , we talked about nusic, I did not know that he(sort of) played the violin. I will never forget that day.

I waited on Chuck D from Puclic Enemy at a restaraunt in Wilmington, NC. He was very nice, as was his female companion. He gave me VIP passes to his show, autographed his bill, and tipped me very well.
