..... Or, as someone else has suggested. You never see rabbits with glasses, so maybe they don't wear their glasses outside ...

maybe they ate too much carrots which was too good for their eyes that they were dead

It's not because rabbits can't see, it's because they aren't very smart. That's why God blessed them with fertility, other wise they would be extinct LOL.
