He had retired, divorced his 1st wife, hooked up with Trisha Yearwood, did another album, got married to Trisha and went back to his easy going life. He said when he retired he wanted to spend more time with his girls ando miss so much of their lives the way he had since he had constantly been on the road

Wal-Mart owns him now. He signed a contract with Wal-Mart and any of his new music that comes out is exclusively theirs. If you seen the box sets that Wal-Mart has been releasing lately of Garth Brooks there was a music set and a video set and it was "Only at Wal-Mart", that's why. He is no longer with Capital records and is on his own label now. He had a newer album come out a while back.

i believe that he is really into his kid and his family and has no plans on touring for a while.
