I just don't understand. A few years ago my husband and I went to a local safari calling African Lion Safari where they have lions, monkeys and such. When we went to the lion secition, they were just sitting there. How is this possible?

Yeah when we went, we skipped the monkey section because they warned us that the monkeys will go on your car and can scratch it up.

the safari l was on had lions and tigers behind bars in a huge enclosed area, elephants too.
A giraffe put his head in our van window and l got to pet him and the monkeys were climbing all over the van, they liked the ladder that was on it. there was a sign warning about the monkeys and you didn't have to drive thru there, lt was the best time.

I've wondered the same....this is something that I can't explain....

I used to think that they gave him something to keep them calm until I saw a Maxium Exposure episode were a rhino attached a car with a ton of people in it....I think the only reason they don't attack is because they are so far away from those animals...But this incident I'm speaking of they were really close to the rhino....

My guess is that perhaps they have become accustomed to seeing cars all the time. They're jaded.

there are little motes and things like that but they are hidden so you can't see them and the lions can't get you
