I believe life is eternal, in different energy forms. It is crucial to the next energy form for us to create and contribute in the present. So, yes, our lives will matter in 100 years.

That's my truth and I'm sticking to it...

Cheers!

It could. I am thinking in terms of raising great kids.....who will go on to become nice, sensible, contributing members of society. Or you could make an impact, by being part of a group that is working towards a social cause.....and which sees tangible results. You could matter, but you could also matter 'as part of a group' or 'movement'. U could also leave a mark....by, writing a book that inspires others or gives others joy...that could be around for a long time to come. There are many ways to matter even after 100 years. It is possible to never matter as well - it depends on how we live our life - the choices we make.

13Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." 14Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
-James 4:13-15

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:25 & 34

My peace I leave you and My peace I give you.
I do not give as the world gives. So do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
-John 14:27

Who cares if my life will matter in a 100 years. God has prepared a place, beautiful beyond comprehension for those who love and believe in Him. He is all that matters.

Nice question ...

But what do you mean by it matters ??
Do you mean it matters to you ?
or it matters to humanbeings ?
or it matters to god ?

i will answer them all ..

Does it matters for you ?? in 100 years ??

Sure it will not ..
Either you will be soooooooooooo old .. not even have a brain or ability to think about your life .. you will just think on survive or just to die in peace and pride ..

Does your life for humanbeing ??

there is 2 options you can choose and they both are right ..
1- in 100 years you are dead 99 % .. so nobody cares about you .. cause nobody think except about their own life and people alive near them ..
2- if you heared about Butterfly theory .. then it is sure matters and affects alot of billion things around you or far away from you ..,. even that other people or all of them don't think so ..

Does it matters to god ??

If you believe in him ..
he creates you .. he create you for a reason .. So sure it matters .. not in 100 years .. but even in billion years ..
You are alive and that is enough ..

Enjoy your live ..
Have a great day ..
Good luck ...............

..

100 Years
Words & Music by: (Popper)

The sun is warm as the day is long
Just got the feeling I can do no
wrong

Got a long way to walk can't afford
my next meal,
I tell a few lies, but my hunger is
real
and it...

Chorus

won't mean a thing in 100 years
no it won't mean a thing in 100
years

Mademoiselle tell me do you play
well if she shakes her head well
then that's OK
I watch her walk away in haste
there's just no accounting for
some people's taste
and it...

Chorus

Big angry man in the doorway there
Just keep on walking like I don't
care
Why you giving such an evil eye
could it be you were ignored by
every passerby
and it...

Chorus

Play in the park for tobacco and
food
then I excuse myself but they think
I'm rude
Tourist don't want me to end his
show
but this colorful attraction got
places to go
and it...

Chorus

Sit at the pier watch the sun go
down
Another lost little boy in a big old
town
I want to laugh, I want to cry
but no matter how hard I may try

Chorus Twice

Love this song for exactly that reason!!!

no, i will be dead by then most probably. I might as well do something good for people and make my life matter now then in 100 years time.

As if it matters much right now, except perhaps to myself and a few others. The consolation is in the belief that it is an inevitable one of the bits and pieces making up the grand meaning and purpose of life as such....... or is that too an egocentric assumption? I am inclined to think so since it relieves me of any possible burden of responsibility!!

Matter to whom? I'll be pushing up dasies long before then. And any meaning given to my life by me won't matter.
I'll let history be the judge.

If you treat children with love and respect, it will.

If you don't it won't.

They Carry the view of life that you give them, and pass it on to the next generation.

Love and blessings Don
