When I was in school I loved math when I had a teacher who loved math.
When I had such a teacher math seemed easy.
When I had a teacher who was just teaching math because it was their job math got very difficult.
Love and blessings Don

A good or bad teacher can make all the difference. A really good teacher can present the subject in such a way that the student can grasp the concepts easily and put it all together in his own mind so that it makes perfect sense. When we grasp things and it all makes good sense their is a joy and appreciation, which makes the subject even more desirable. But when we like a subject but a bad teacher can't make it work for us, the task of learning becomes more difficult. It's a matter of making the student say "ah haaaa" The joy of getting it.
Bad teachers can plant roadblocks in our understanding that keeps a lid on further learning. They stuff knowledge into your head rather than helping you see with understanding, your own understanding. Good teachers awaken the teacher within you. Then you're off to the races on your own with a genuine love of learning.

Maths is basically about problem solving using numbers. Some people have a grasp of it and others don't. Generally those that grasp it do well but occasionally something stumps them - but that is the nature of the beast. Are they good enough to overcome?

Well, sometimes you will need to try to relate the subject that you are learning to your daily life. For example, if you are able to figure out that the math formulas that you learned in schools contributed that the different technologies and different schools of logical thinking that we have today, I am sure it will give you a reason why you will have to master Math.

Maybe it's like..i love astronomy because the part that i can grasp already amazes me. There's a lot that i can't really understand in it, like the dimension of time, infinity of space, the black holes..etc. But also not being able to totally understand it amazes me too! The reason why i can't understand it is obvious, it's higher than my intellectual capacity..and in this case it doesn't stop me from loving it!

There is a math disability that affects a person's ability to comprehend tasks and a series of tasks that are required for more complex calculations. Dyscalculus.
Difficulty concentrating from a wide variety of things can also affect how and where someone can focus their attention.

because modern maths is taught to be nothing more than quantitative calculations. and is to be nothing beyond complex arithmetic operation to achieve the correct answer. yuck ! this sucks... read up on leibniz and Descartes. Math is the art of abstraction and once one understands the abstraction behind mathematics it all comes together. used to hate math but now its my fav subject
