I'm thinking of voting for Obama. One of the strongest reasons is his pledge to get us out of Iraq.

Lack of experience, Well Clinton also lacks experience however most political experience only teaches them to be more efficient liars and thieves.
I never believe a word politicians say on the campaign trail, they all lie and eventually they all steal.
He is more intelliget than the current occupant who managed to be re-elected so intelligence and common sense are apparently not important, Only lying and stealing.
Anything he or Clinton does will be minutely scrutinized, so maybe they won't be able to steal but they will lie.
His character is no better than yours or mine, I don't think a saint would be a politician because it involves lying and stealing.
What does it tell you when a politician spends Million$$ to obtain a job that pays thousands? Somebody intends to do some lying and stealing!

So all I can see is that he is the EQUAL of eight evils, As long as that fool Bush is gone and we get those Americans home from Iraq!

His remark about "letting Canada do it" showed no intelligence at all. I think going to a Hefner party and also going to church may be mutually hypocritical. He has no better plan on leaving a fledgling democracy well enough off, nor does he see al queda the ones that recently took over another countries capitol as a threat. And has made no comments about the retaking of the city. Must be thinking hard only about Iraq and not the rest of the world. I think he's shown he isn't ready for the top job.
Maybe he and Hillary will kiss and make up for a ticket.

everyone has pledged to get us out of Iraq but Obama is the shallowest of the bunch. Obama says he never supported this war but he doesn't mention supporting the Patriot Act. Everyone has had their bad moments. the election is a long way off, don't decide now, wait until you hear all sides and platforms.

Did you watch the debate the other day? Obama had a smirk on his face and was laughing about Senator Mike Gravel talking about nuclear weapons. He apparently thinks nukes are a joke. Gravel eventually asked him "Who are you gonna nuke, Barack?" Obama's response was "Nobody, right now." The key words are "right now." Obama doesn't oppose the use of nukes.

Do you seriously think Obama opposes Iraq? If he's so against the Iraq War, why does he keep funding it? Sincere opponents of the War such as Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich have voted against the funding constantly. Gravel previously led the anti-Vietnam movement back in the 70s and he also got rid of Military Slavery a.k.a. the draft.

I would recommend voting for Mike Gravel in the Democrat primary and Ron Paul in the Republican primary. They're the top opponents of Iraq in the race.

He voted in Illinois to give illegals SS benefits when they have never paid into the system. That is negative in my opinion. He supports our troops and votes for increased defense spending but is against the war. What exactly is his stance?

No, he is by far the best candidate out there. The people who are slamming him on here are Republicans that just want to discredit any Democratic candidate. he has a great vision for America and I like his message of ending partisan politics. He practices what he preaches and has worked with McCain on illegal immigration and Lugar on nuclear weapons porliferation. Ending the partisan politics in Wash. is the best thing we could do to get our country moving in the right direction again.

I like him alot. Other than Iraq, my biggest concern, the one I deal with on a daily basis is illegal immigration. I am worried that being a person of color, he will crack under the pressure and not follow through with enforcing the law.

what scares me the most is that he was raised in another country, Indonesia.
What do we know about this place?
He was what 2 when he moved there? Came back for high school
to Hawaii and talks about the pain of being black in school. His classmates say he was a popular well liked star athlete?
He just doesn't ring true.
