My Dad taught me and my siblings one of the songs of Elvis Presley "Teaddy Bear".We used to sing that song everytime my Dad comes home from work. It was such a great bonding with my Dad that whenever we talk about it, we feel that bond again with him.

I grew up with a huge weeping willow tree in the backyard. We would pretend that the tree was our pirate ship. It was me and 4 other kids from the neighborhood. We would climb the tree. We would have mock sword fights.
We would make people walk the plank. And the parts of the tree, the roots I think, that stick out of the ground and ran a bit across the yard, we would pretend that those were little islands, and we were giant pirates...the grass was water and we were surrounded by alligators. Trying to walk along them back to the ship without getting eaten.
It was so much fun.

we had this big huge dirt pile in the front yard from when we leveled out the ground for the pool and my brother and i would climb to the top and roll down. well i pushed him and he grabbed me and we both rolled down, because we were so tangled up he kneed me in the nose and i kicked him in the balls if was funny. i was about 8 he was about 6. we use to do a lot together like beat each other in the head with metal baseball bats. he would stand up in front of me while i was on a swing and I'd start swinging and drop kick him in the head. that was funny too. I love my brother. he's 16 now and im 18 and i cant see him cuz my momma is mad at me for moving out last summer June 2006.

Ah!! I've been waiting for a momment to tell this story...OK, true story....I was at my house and I live in Nebraska so when I say there was nothing to do...I mean it. Ok, so I was at my house with my friend Emily and we were really super bored and for some reason this kid up the street named Greg was there and he was like "Rollerblade off your roof." and I was like "Whatever, I guess." so I went up there. So, my roof is like really super steep and really super short (at least in front of my room) and I really didn't think this through. I was up there and I started to inch out of my window and finally I let go of the window sill and I flew the three feet that my roof was, got hooked on the gutter with my brakes on my blades, and was immediantly....suspended in mid-air. They had to call the freaking fire department to get me down. I have never seen my parents so embaressed.

Getting up on Saturday morning and watching cartoons at the kitchen table with my Dad. Smelling the fresh cut grass. You just knew it was the week end.

My dad used to carry me on his shoulders when I got tired of walking.I will never forget sitting up there. He used to sing at the top of his voice(he was a bit eccentric)and I used to hold on by grabbing his ears, his nose, his hair as I bounced along.Everyone knew him ,and people would always shout and wave as we passed by.Happy happy carefree days.
