You don't need to show him anything except the door out! Go ahead and file for divorce, talk to your attorney, and let the attorney handle everything. Your husband may have no respect for you, but he will have to respect the law, and if you want a divorce, you will get it with or without his silly signature. You don't need a signature from him! Just go file the divorce and let the attorney deal with it from there. It's as easy as that, especially when you're with a beefcake loser like him!

Not in the USA but he can make it hell for you to get the divorce. You should look up the statute on divorce in your state and read it. It will outline the requirements for the court to issue a divorce. Your soon to be ex can increase the expense to you by filing motions that mean nothing, disagreeing on every issue, making swapping the child painful. You might want to look at ourdivorceagreement.com and see if you can start on an agreement form. This will make it much less expensive once you do get an attorney. At least you will know what you want on the various issues.

My ex wouldn't sign the divorce papers either. Here in PA, you have to wait 2 years after seperating then you can file for divorce without the others signiture. Hope this helps

You will be granted a divorce with or without his consent. You`ll also get judgments against him for child neglect too if you want to push the issue, and for adultery.
