All WiFi devices work worldwide. Some may need to be configured for different countries though.

Ask about this before you buy.

When traveling, look for local hotspots, Internet Cafes and public access places, like airports, libraries, etc.

Just be aware that security on public hotspots may be poorer than expected. WPA encryption is necessary.

TIP: Your laptop probably has WiFi already, read your manual.

If you mean "wireless" as in wifi (802.11) then you do not need anything special: wifi is standard across the globe.

But if you mean "wireless" as in cellular, then that's different. You have to get a cellular card from your service provider, so it would be best to sign up for celular service once your in europe and ask them for a card. Beware though, cellular internet service is maniaclly expensive.

If you mean phone service, get a cingular pay as you go simcard. They work in eroupe ( at least i think so) and they have cool features like escape-a-date and weather updates. Internet can be expensive, so make sure to get a $50 or $100 refill-card.
