Randy's renegotiated contract details
$3 mil plus $2 mil in incentives. One year.
Risk? If he is a turd, they cut him. If he behaves himself, they don't.
And if anyone thinks his performance dropped solely due to his aging, Do you think Tom Brady is a tad better than Aaron Brooks?:)
Oh, if he gets a ring and does not care anymore...
It is a one year contract for a reason.

Although Moss has not had the best attitude in recent years, I think going to New England is too good of an opportunity for him to mess up. When players start winning that can change attitudes real quick. Moss should be Brady's number 1 option, and should get at least 1000 yards and 10 TDs. Lets just hope that he cuts his hair, so he does not look like a woman having a bad hair day. Lets also hope that he smiles in pictures more often, so he does not look constipated.

This should be the biggest wake-up call of Moss's career (remember how he bounced from college programs until Marshall picked him up, plus the Heisman controversies) or he will be out of the league in a year or two. This is a team that has a shot at the Lombardi Trophy virtually every year and he is not larger than any other part; and Coach Bill will not put up with any childish antics.
The Pats don't need monster stats from him - and he will open up the field for other receivers - but he needs to look in the mirror and realize that he was only worth on the open market the 120th or so college player in the draft.
It is put up or shut up time for Moss.

I think Moss will behave in NE simply because he is only trouble when he is on a losing team, if they are winning and have a chance at the Superbowl and him getting a ring he will behave. Also, there are a number of players that will out him in his place if he gets out of line guys like Brady, Harrison, and Bruschi will not put up with anything and also Bellichick as a coach will not put up with any distractions. Randy took a big pay cut to coem to NE and that is also a good sign that he i trying to not be selfish. No one thought Corey Dillon would behave when NE got him and Corey turned 180 degrees and was great while he was in NE and I think Moss can do the same.

Moss best skill is the deep ball. That has not really been the Pats game or Tom Bradys' best attribute so does Moss adjust his game? If he does is he effective? The last few years in Oakland it seems they tried that with him with little success, granted the Raiders did not have a QB worth squat. Next, I am sure that Bellichick has already laid down the law with Moss, it's my way or the highway. Will he cooperate?

NE is a team that is mentally though enough to not let a distraction like Moss bother them. Yet, who doesn't love winning. I think Moss, like TO, will realize that not everyone is going to take their stuff and that this could be his last chance to stay in the league and win a SB so he will behave.

i don't think they'll ever regret it
it's a calculated risk
...a fourth round draft pick for a former Pro Bowl Player
and the only reason he hasn't been putting up numbers is because he's P.O'd
....i'm a Dolphins fan....so i hate to say this....but Randy will get it turned around....he wants to be in New England and they have a coach and QB that will do their damdest to keep him happy

Honestly though. Moss is only a shithead when his team is crappy AND they don't give him the ball. I think he'll be fine on a winning team and an actual good QB .
