Tips to write a short cover letter?

Question

I´m about to send an email to a company with my resume, I would like if you can help me to write a short conver letter. for example: "I saw your add on the newspaper and I would like to be considered for the job and or "I saw that you are recruiting people"....and "I`m attaching my resume"..... and how to end it....
The thing is that I´m a Spanish native, so I would aprecciate if you can help me a little bit.
