Women have as sharp a memory as men. They too go down the memory lane as often as men do. But when it comes to the present, they need not be obsessed with the past and it is for the betterment of their emotional health that they tend to forget and pretend to forget the past. To be realistic is the main focus.

I"m not really sure what you are asking. Woman don't forget their past lovers after they get married, but they don't think about them either. I don't know why you think women forget any more easily than men, because they don't. If they see a past lover and they are with their husband's they may not respond to them. How awkward would that be? You see an old fling and go up to them and start talking and then your husband wants to know who they are. It's just easier on everyone if she ignores the old fling, but she still remembers him. She just chooses not to acknowledge him.

Because marriage means a new world to the girl. She gets new responsibilities of some eternal relationships which she has to take care of. She gets a completely new surrounding. So how can you think that after having such great changes in her life she`ll brood over her past ever. What is past is the dead.

The best thing for anyone to do after marriage is focus on the marital relationship. Forget the past........ The guys who cannot get oout of their past are never satisfied with their marital life. I don't think they forget their lovers, but their priorities definitely are changed, and they get into the right thing by prioritizing their marital realtions rather than the ones they can do nothing about.
All the best...

may be girls have the psychological tendency to get into future by balancing the present situations. even if u take the case of a normal girl who gets gets married to a stranger in an arranged marriage, she tries to live happily without brooding about her parents or siblings. so its just not the lovers that she forgets, it can be anyone. our social norms have created such ideas. boys are mostly given independence and girls are taught to be dependent. days are changing, but many of our societal influences still have roots in our blood. think frankly, can u be with a girl who broods about her past relations and her people? anyone will expect his wife to be a part of his life and girls do that keep their marriages happy.

To me in experience, females don't really forget about the person they love they just put it to the side. Like me it might hurt if they stick to thinking about that person it's going to drive them crazy, but if they just sit that feeling aside and forget about and just learn from whatever went wrong then they can move along.

That is necessary for rearing the family. Women are the preservers of the species. If you expect them to bemoan about the past, the present will sour and there shall be no family and preservation of the species.

Women r always depending on males - their father/ brother/husband/son.There is no way for them to be independent in this world. if her family members r don't accept her lover then there is no way to her to marry him.But if her lover is ready to marry her in any way ,then no problem ,she will ready to marry him. If her lover is not ready, then she should obey to her parent. After marriage she tries to forget her old love.As a whole , males r always dominating females.

Your survey is at flaw, since you haven't spoken to those women / girls who left your friends / acquaintance. You have just assumed their feelings based on your observations alone.
