Because we are still a republic (Republic of Texas) and not really a state, we can fly the flag at the same height as the American flag. An extra tid-bit: when Texas joined the Union, we reserved the right to secede at any time.

Ye-hah!

The days of Proud to be an American are nearly over. Soon we will be a partner in the North American Union which is just a stepping stone to the new world order. The dollar is going to be replaced by the Amero, they are building a super highway from Mexico to Canada, and former President Fox already said this has all been in the works for a long time. I don't even know if we can change this future politically, the mainstream media isn't going to bring the message, and most people aren't paying attention to see its going to happen nor would they believe us anyway.

It doesn't fly above but the same height. It was one of the conditions when the Republic of Texas joined the United States. Did you know Texas is the only state that can succeed from the union or we can divide into 5 states. That would mean 10 US Senators from the old Texas. I am for that we will have more pull then.

definitely not state flags must only be flown below the country flag but since texas was once a country before it joined the union it reserves the right to fly it at the same height, but according the tradition the us flag should be on top

Quite frankly, there is no law that says the American flag must be the one at the top. It is only custom that dictates which flag goes where.
