He WAS an asset. I would have liked to have him back this year, but not at the price the Texans gave him. Green's productivity declined a lot the last two years. He has to leave the game every third play because of asthma and he's fumble prone. At most the Packers should have paid him about 2.5 million a year to play another season or two. The Texans way over paid for what they're going to get. I'd like to still have him, but at that price, letting him go was a good move.

Yes he was. He was a very good back. I don't like the idea of our beloved Packers going into the season with Morency at tailback. Could be a long year for us unless they somehow swing a deal for a good RB. I'd love to see Turner or LJ if possible.

he was AMAZING under Mike Sherman. But he wasn't the best in McCarthys zone blocking scheme. besides the Texans payed 5mill but you can't put a price on talent.

green wasnt performing well in the past couple years. he's getting old. we need a new running back with fresh legs that can fit in well with our young OL. green was great back in the day, but his days of dominance in green bay are long gone. not that he's washed up, just that he didnt fit gb's system anymore (zone blocking scheme).
