I've had this baby bamboo plant for almost 2 years and I keep it in a jar of water on the window sill. For the past 23 months, parts of it have been turning brown and stale and it seems like it hasn't grown at all! Please help, thank you!

Bamboo is a very hardy plant even the decorative tabletop variety.
Have you ever given it some plant food? You see, it needs more than just water. If you have some plant fertilizer, give it a little diluted feeding every now and them.
ANother thing you can do is stick it in a pot of regular potting soil and the plant will draw what it needs from the soil by itself. Feeding is the best thing to do.

Bamboo plants need indirect sunlight. Move it off the window sill. I keep mine on the other side of the room away from the window. Also, change the water every couple of weeks. I also use distilled water. It does not get as slimy, as regular water when it sits still. Good Luck!!!

I've had bamboo plants for years. The only time I've ever kept them in water alone was when I wanted them to produce roots. Then I potted them and had no problems.
They still will need frequent watering when they are in soil, but they will flourish.

Keep the bamboo in sunlight on some days and if it is tied round, remove the knot and tie losly.
