Answer: A closer comparison would be Viet-Nam, where once again they (democrats) initiated going in ...For votes...Then sold out both the troops and America...Again for votes!
When democrats forced America out of Nam, that enemy slaughtered millions...The enemy in Iraq will do much worse...
And once again they will blame the republicans...
And once again, Not for stopping their "democratic" treachery.

Do you actually think most of those Democrats in office oppose the War? Of course not. They wouldn't be funding it if that were the case.
The argument that alot of Iraqis will die in a Civil War is ridiculous. They are already dieing in a Civil War and our troops are dieing in the middle of them. What we should do is bring the troops home. The longer we stay in Iraq, the less stable the Middle East will become and the more terrorists Al-Qaida will recruit.
Unless we leave Iraq, we're gonna have another 9/11. Saddam was keeping terrorists out of Iraq. We tossed him out of power and lo and behold, every terrorist in the Middle East shows up in Iraq.
The Iraq War was a dumb idea to begin with. It was a dumb idea to stay the course and it is a dumb idea to do anything less than pull out now. How many Americans have to die so that Iraqis can have their own elected dictator just like America does?

Well, if we did try to help in Darfur, under a Conservative adminstration the Liberals, would blame the leading Republican for the first Death of any US sent person, even though it was there idea in the first place. I think it would take around 10 years, then finally, CNN or PBS's Nova, would make a special report on something like Orphans or refugees out of Iraq, and it would make the Liberals form an advocacy group, like Amnesty International. Then George Clooney and Angelina Jolie would visit the White House, Jolie would bring her adopted Iraqi Orphan, where as Clooney would be yelling for the US to step into Iraq. I say the death count doesn't matter to the liberal American, it's the children & starving that they care about, once they see that, then they'll petition us to go back over there. Us Conservatives get thrown around a lot, but we're used to it.

Zero. I think it's time to save our childrens lives. People who use catagories like liberal, Demacrat, Republican, only serve to distract people from the important things that could help make positive change. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. No, some people would rather spend time worrying about what another group is doing and all the while the Monster Machine we call gov. continues before any of us got here and will continue when we are all gone and with serious problems we face, that will be left to our kids. What is your contribution going to be to make this country a better place?
PS. How many kids/grandkids are you sending to fight for the oil companies? If all they had to send were the politicians kids/grandkids, you think we'd be there?

well if Vietnam and Cambodia are any historical reference, millions will die, millions of more will be displaced by political and social conflict or will be forced by the new government to flee, they will turn to the US for sanctuary which will be granted, and then US will be swamped with refugees that the liberals claim they care about but quickly forget about.
I saw it all through the early 80's in my home town of San Jose Ca, which has one of the highest (if not the highest) number of south Vietnamese ex-pats and refugees in the country.
Funny how the far left seems too forget the results of their last little jaunt in to the land of "if we leave now every thing will be OK." politics. too bad the bodies that fill the mass graves can't remind them how dangerous those policies really are.

America should never have invaded Iraq to begin with.Maybe that country isn't ready for Democracy. The US needs to pull out now,US soldiers are nothing but targets and the Iraqi people and government need to sort this mess out themselves.I agree the US broke it but you broke it that bad,you can't fix it anymore.
I still believe installing a Saddam like but US friendly regime would be best at this point

If Iraq continues to disintegrate, we may have no choice but to pull troops out.

It would never happen. It didn't happen with Vietnam or Cambodia, did it? The screaming, I mean, not the killing. The killing was predicted and came to pass, but not a peep.
