Friends are exceptionally hard to come by. Significant relationship is equally precious. So, think about which one you care about the most... and which one you think cares about YOU the most. Base your decision on whoever comes out on top.
I don’t know who between your friend and boyfriend asked you to choose… but if they truly cared about you and saw you as his friend or his girlfriend… then none of them would make you choose. Try working it out… choosing between them is a lose-lose situation for you.

You shouldn't have to choose between the two. It would be easier to answer this if I knew more details like how old are all of you, how long has he been your boyfriend, how long have you had this friend? Is he strictly your friend, or does he give your boyfriend reasons to be jealous? Don't choose, try to get them to know each other better and maybe they could become friends also. Neither one should try to pressure you into choosing if they are really true friends to you and care about you. They should work it out if they love you, and allow you to feel free to be with both of them at different times and together. IF--the friend is and always has been strictly a friend and there are no other feelings involved.

My boyfriend made me choose between my best friend who is a guy and him. It was out of pure jealousy. I was pregnant by my boyfriend so I didn't see much choice in the matter, and I chose my boyfriend, cutting contact off with my best friend. It has caused me a great deal of emotional pain that i can not even express outwardly because i don't want my boyfriend to know that i miss my friend. If you have nothing that ties you with your boyfriend (like pregnancy, marriage, etc)...then definitely go with your friend. boyfriends come and go...friends are forever. I made the wrong choice, though I'm still with my boyfriend...I also miss my friend so much and think about him often, missing our late nights together, our phone conversations, the times we'd meet up to have lunch...everything that our friendship held is gone...only a distant memory. Don't give that up. I hadn't even started making many memories with my boyfriend when the decision was made...but because of the child inside of me, I had to let my heart go and choose what was best for my baby. Choose a friend before any boyfriend or girlfriend, unless you two don't plan to get engaged and or married. Friends last forever, simple love doesn't.

Need more info~~~but if your boyfriend wants you to "ditch" your friend because he is a male then i'd say your boyfriend sounds either very insecure, threatened by you having another male in your life or just wants to have total control of you!!!

your friend has probally been there longer you should never choose a boyfriend who you have no idea how long yall will last over somebody who is there for you all the time it may be hard but dont leave your friend!

It depends. If what you feel for the boyfriend is consuming you day and night, then I guess there's your answer, if not, I agree with the guy up there, ditch the one that told you to choose.

maybe your friend likes you too, but doesn't want to tell you for the sake of your friendship or your boyfriend has already been him to the match...so i guess you should choose a friend instead, but you can still manage your time w/ your bf...but the choice is up to you,and you will make your decision and your future so choose wisely my friend...and please try not to get hurt...

choose the one that you like and trust the most but if i was u id ditch the one that told you to choose coz at the end of the day thay havent got the right to tell you what to do.
