Don't hate me for this, but...
1) It's meaningful to the cerebral, AND groovin'/soulful/rockin' and therefore, the US promoters consider it a fiscal risk.
2) Jamiroquai is a THEY. The 'he' you hear is Jay Kay.
3) I have their first 4 cd's, and listen to all of 'em all the time.
...AND, I'm over 35.

I think a lot of people do but the retro-disco-funk thing had it's day in the late 90's here. His (their) best album, Traveling Without Moving, gained a fair amount of popularity when it was released in 1996...10+ years ago. If you like Jamiroquai, I would highly recommend LCD Soundsystem.

I have known about them for years, and purchased one of their CD's several years ago. I just saw them on MTV recently, so it seems to me that they will be releasing a new record soon or have already done so. I like their music, and so do alot of other people; however, it looks like a lack of promotions and marketing is what is keeping them at bay.

I have. I have a few of his songs on my iPod.
Sometimes it depends on his recording label and what demographic his music is listened to mostly. Often times when artists don't do well here in the US they go abroad to test the waters....most times they do much better.

I've known about him for years and love him! Perhaps it is a lack of marketing. Music genres are really opening up, which thrills me! I am sick and tired of teeny bop and rap music! It would be nice if his music was played more in the US.

I know who he is...sang Virtual Insanity and Canned Heat.
Perhaps he is not releasing a lot of singles in the U.S?
Oops, and sorry, guess I really should say "They".

I have heard of him and he has been on MTV numerous times...It's the type of music he makes and it's about marketing and promotion....I think they aren't giving him alot of love because he doesn't have that sound....but I love his music...
