First and most obvious way to gain 1-2" is improve your posture, stand straight and tall.
You can also wear shoes with "lifts" inserted which can put an extra 2" on.
At 22 you are very unlikely to grow any more and you just have to come to terms with that.

One other thing, when you talk to people taller than you stand bak a little bit so the height difference is not obvious.

No it is not. On the ends of each and every bone within the body there are plates of cartilage called epiphyseal, or 'development' plates. It's from these plates that growth happens, as soon as these have entirely ossified (become bone) upto age 20, there is not any method of inducing more growth or increasing the length of bone which might directly broaden your top, even with hGH. Nonetheless as you become older the volume of synovial fluid which is contained inside every joint 'synovial membrane' decreases, which causes the condition osteoarthritis, and likewise gives the appearance of shrinking, or lowering in height.

All my (female) partners have been much taller than me 5'6-5'8. Has anyone got a reason why?
