Most men are coward when it comes to grappling with a tough situation and wishes it had never come. In the present, you are actually grappling with it, you are flapping, walking, running, struggling.. The present puts you on an awkward perch from which you feel difficulty in getting off it.
The past appears golden because it is over and done with and is dead, no matter how difficult it was to go through the hellfire.

Seems to me that you haven't meet a person who is happy with their present.

Let me tell you that I am very much happy with the present, since I live for the day.

If you live in present then the experience and the experiencer are same. Happiness is just a memory of an experience and not the experience itself. The moment you realise you are happy that's it, you are thrown out of happiness.

well, i feel that it is human nature to desire something that we dont have. this is both a good thing and a bad thing. good because this desire to have something more that what we have at the present pushes us to discover new things, which leads us to be innovative and inventive (which then advances the human race). on the other hand, this tendency to be dissatisfied with the present can be distructive too, that is if not dealt with accordingly. for example, if someone just dream of having something and doesnt do anything about it i think that could well drive anyone insane. :D or maybe bitter. or disillusioned. or most likely have a stagnant life. hmmmmm...what do you think?

Present is real while future offers expectations. Perhaps, most of us feel happy expecting something better rather than enjoying our best present !

If someone lives in his/ her old memory and is not willing to accept his future and current news, the current situations he will remain unhappy. you think of achieving many things, but sometimes some of your dreams get shattered, it do not get fulfilled as it should have been at teh time. The past occupies you mind so much taht sometimes you are tired and when you look back at life it's dark. Present includes situations , toughness but we constantly struggle to achieveour goals.

It is human nature, we do not appreciate that which we have but are trouble that we do not have a trivial thing. The past and the future fascinate us, but the present is dull and boring. We boast of the past, we dream for the future, but the reality, the present, which is actually truly ours, we neglect. We refuse to see the reality.
