JMost shrimp will do just fine eating the leftover food from feeding the fish. If you have no fish in the tank, feed them a sinking pelleted food. Try aglae wafers and brine shrimp pellets. They should have both in thier diet.

I feed my RC Shrimp a little flake food, some algae pellets, and an occasional dried birch/maple leaf from outside. Believe it or not that's what the breeder I bought them from said to do. It must be working because I have had an exponential growth, fom 20 to over 200 in less than 3 months. Don't overfeed and have a good water flow. Just because they're small doesn't mean you can skimp on filtration. My 29 has a filter for a 100g tank because the HAVE to have a clean environment.

Are they fresh or salt? Shrimp are scavangers and will eat just about anything. Mine eat brine shrimp and small pellets. however they will eat anything you put into the tank.
