Almost without exception (Intel?), you MUST install all motherboard and graphics card drivers drivers immediately after installing XP.
They are free from the motherboard manufacturer's website, if you don't have the CD. Then go to the Graphics manufacturer's website.

u just need to install the AC97 sound driver from your motherboard cd...or u can just download it from the net..and install

make sure you plug your speakers in the right holes in the back of your tower. if that doesn't work make sure your key board mute button is of .that's what happen to my computer when it didn't have sound
