Do not use Partition Magic or Fdisk until you go to the drive manufacturer's website and download their free Hard Disk Utilities.

Partition Magic, Fdisk and similar utilities could shorten the life of your drive.

This advice comes from 30 years of experience.

TIP: Install XP and set your first partition to 20GBs. Then, after XP is installed, right-click on "My Computer" and choose Manage, then choose Disk Management. You can create and format (right-click for options) the rest of the drive SAFELY there.

Older versions of Windows don't have this feature, so Partition Magic or Fdisk may be needed, BUT look for Hard Disk Utilities.FIRST.

The answer is yes you can, however I can't fully give details without knowing your operating system. There's little differences with each OS.
