having very heavy bleeding & heavy clotting in periods,,,does it mean masscarriage or some other reason?

It sounds like it could possibly be endometriosis. Check out the symptoms: http://www.4woman.gov/faq/endomet.htm

If it is happening recurrently, it is not a miscarriage, but if it has just happened once, you can't rule out the possibility. Either way, you should see your gynecologist if you have one, or your family doctor, because your reproductive health is really important.

Another thing it could mean is polyps or infection (I've dealt with both of these). The only way to find out for sure is to have your dr evaluate the situation to see what they think could be going on.
