Is your water deep well (brought from underground aqueducts)?
If it is, then your water is super hard. Hardness is described by the concentration of Magnesium and Calcium in the water supply.
That white precipitate is CaO, Calcium oxide. It deposits in the stainless steel since it cannot oxidize the steel.
Metal oxidation usually happens on Iron and watter, producing the red ppt FeO called rust.

Its probably the deposition of alum and zeolites.
