I don't do that. Maybe before I had my two kids we did, but after the daughters arrived, pets became simply pets because our focus was where it was supposed to be. Before we had children, I think we considered our pets as our kids! Kind of strange though how some people spoil their animals though. I will star this question so some of my network people will hopefully answer it too!

If I had the money I would go the Jim and Tammy Faye way, although I wouldn't put clothes on her except for sweaters for winter walks. I would give my dog Daisy the pampered pooch palace and everything else that would make her confortable because I strongly feel that animals are the perfect life forms. They are simply PERFECT. They have no malice. I would give my life for my dog.

well with my son a Vegan diet my hubby and I butt heads about this every two weeks!
I had a dog an Afghan growing up he had his own table so he would not hurt his head so far to the ground, a hat thing to keep his ears out of his food and a special water dish that kept his water cold
My sisters dog I got her a special coat at Christmas and she gets her a doggie ice cream for her birthday.
And all my doggie friends get homemade doggie treats.
I also have adopted a cat since my son is afraid of cats the cat has a house outback she came in our yard and stayed.

For his 1st birthday, I gave my basset, Beauregard, a small steak, cut into small sections, I trimmed it of fat, boiled it and made a brothe, then I added 2 eggs, beaten, and poured it all over his dry dog food. Then I took him out for a romp in the park, which for him, consisted of sniffing all the bushes, fence posts, trees, & swing sets..He's tri-colored and enjoys the breeze so I didn't dress him up, but come to think of it, I'm sure he would look very sporting with a bow tie, kind of like Morris the Cat wears.
By the way, I DID see Morris the Cat in a NY supermarket. He looked like your typical red tabby, fat, yellowish-green eyes, with his trademark bow tie. The thing that set him a part from all other cats was his own personalized stretch limo in the parking lot.

I keep my betta fish in a five gallon tank and feed him dried up worms and fish flakes.
I would never keep my child in a five gallon tank and feed them bugs.
