The ancient egyptians were not what you would consider African: very dark skin tone, coarse hair. Their hair was straight, or in some cases slightly wavy. Their complexion resembled those of the countries around them. They are considered olive skin tone. They looked like the type of people that you would see in Greece, Saudia Arabia, etc. The modern Egyptians today still consider themselves not African even though they are in Africa.

Yes they were. If you take a look at the hieroglyphics they wrote and drew many of the Egyptians have dark skin.

Im not sure what the question was but Africa is 70% black only and the northern Africans near the middle east consider themselves Mediteranian instead of African

Yes they are, and were.
In the " Big Picture ", there are really only
two Color Races, White or Black.
It's the " shades of gray " you are talking about.
Gray comes under Blackness.

Didn't they do trades with africa? I heard that they used to have some mixing goin on, a bit. But I havent looked it up to verify it.
