Is this supposedly for a paper? Anyhow, I will give you my take. Electronic communications like emails speed up the communication considerably, which is also the source of many new problems. For emails, you can send information through a wide range of audience almost instantaneously. Yet, if an email was sent to an unintended audience, the result could be disastrous. Certain email etiquette needs to be developed before emails can be used effectively.
Also, on more minor e-communication methods such as video conferencing or phone conferencing, people from different locations might be able to communicate effectivly at once, but sometimes, nothing can trump face to face communications. Hope this helps somewhat.
