The Power of a Smile

She smiled at the sorrowful stranger.
The smiling seemed to make him feel better.

He remembered past kindnesses of a friend
And wrote him a thank you letter.

The friend was so pleased with the thank you
That he left a large tip after lunch.

The waitress, surprised by the size of the tip,
Bet the whole thing on a hunch.

The next day she picked up her winnings,
And gave part to a man on the street.

The man on the street was grateful;
For two days he'd had nothing to eat.

After he finished his dinner,
He left for his small dingy room.

He didn't know at that moment
That he might be facing his doom.

On the way he picked up a shivering puppy
And took him home to get warm.

The puppy was very grateful
To be in out of the storm.

That night the house caught on fire.
The puppy barked the alarm.

He barked till he woke the whole household
And saved everybody from harm.

One of the boys that he rescued
Grew up to be President.

All this because of a simple smile
That hadn't cost a cent.

Yeah, smiles can be infectious! I am told that I smile all the time, but I don't mean to or know that I am. People tell me I have a smile that light them up and make them want to smile back. If I see someone with a smile on their face like that, I am tempted to ask them, "You're having a good day, huh?"

smiles are infectitious some time but many times friendly and caring. The percentage 99% seems to be on the higher side.

Smiles revive relationships and lead to good amiable friendships normally and most of the times

Reminds me of a poem
Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu.
when someone smiled at me today,i started smiling too.
I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin, when he smiled i realised,id passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile and i realised its worth,a single smile just like mine could travel round the earth.
So if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected, lets start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected.

The remaining 1 time out of 100, two men in white coats come and take you away in a straitjacket.

I know laughter is, I often laugh a little excessively just to bump up the happy vibe, it works just as well as saying shhhhhhhhhh in a loud crowd, you should try that one.
