How to acces database (MySQL) over internet with vb 6.0 ?.
I have computer who have IP Public (assumed Comp A).
In Comp A, i have a situs (build with Java), and the situs connected to database in another computer (assumed Comp B, Only for database, database is MySQL). Comp B connected to Comp A with LAN.
I want created a tool (program) with VB 6.0. How to connecting my program to Comp B direct over internet?
does anyone can make it happen? and how with code?

Well the computer that has MySql on it has to allow other IPs to connect to MySql. (should be in the config files) If you own both you need to enable external connections for MySql and open the firewall ports for it. (Localhost is the only default within the original setup)
If these are hosted machines I suspect the hosting company (for security reasons) wont do this.
