a very good question :
i personally think that everyone can change their perspective and consequently their personalities, and suicide is the result of one of ur personalities

but i dont think its a hostage situation coz one side of the personality is not holding the other side but ITSELF only

i think whenevr we r feeling in such a manner: we must escape to other personalities

Not necessarily. If it's one of the person's "personalities" then it could just be an internal (in the mind) suicide.
