I have two from being around 18 months, but I'm not sure which came first. One is being rushed into hospital with gastro-entiritis, and screaming and rolling so much they had to strap me to the bed. And the other is the day my grandad died, but I didn't know that - my folks and I went to a local reservoir and they say me on this big high wall for photographs and the first thing I remember consciously thinking is "Ooh, nice" as I leant back to sort of throw myself down into the water. We have photographs of me on that wall, but they couldn't get one of me alone, cos every time they let me go, I was just fascinated by the drop and the water...

I have lots of early memories, though the earliest is lying in my pram and feeling frustration at the fact that every time i tried to reach the ball that was tied across the hood, my hands missed it nearly every time. Discussing this some years ago with a paediatrician at the time my eldest son (now 25) was born i was told i could have been no more than 6 weeks old as your co-ordination comes together at this point.
Incidentally Somerset Maugham the author could recall his passage down the birth canal.

Mine was when I was about 1-2 years old. It was my mom scooping me up from the floor after I rolled over the side of the bed during the night LOL

Lying in the crib, checking out the off-white blanket, which I must have deduced looked similar in color to Pablum, and listening to that Fisher-Price Music Box Teaching Clock tune.

3 or 4 years old. Saw a little girl in a mirror in a store and was fascinated. Was too young to realize it was me.
