It's a good question If I could I gave you 2 star instead of only 1.
Happiness is an inside feeling that is not buyable and different people become happy with different reasons. Something that is worthless for someone, can be invaluable for someone else.
I think somehow money can cause happiness because with money we can gain most of our goals and to prepare even a petty necessity you need money so it can make us happy (of course if you are clever enough to use it in the best way)

I agree with you that money cannot buy all of our happiness but money is very important to live our life, especially in the big cities. So, we can buy something to help us live our life easier. (e.g. buy a car, pay the mobile bill, give it to your parents)
However, how do we feel unhappy when we lack of money? This is because we tied our self with the power of purchase which is a part of consumerism. If we can be happy without the stuff like gold, diamond, luxury car, 10M dollars home, and stay with the thing that you already have in your mind, that is, self-efficiency. Just feel "enough" That's the thing.
I didn't refuse consumerism and capitalism but the solution to have the peace of mind when you lack of money is just to make up your mind that you can live very well with the Clothes, Medicine, Food, Home.
Personally, I appreciate a book named "Your Money or Your Life: Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Achieving Financial Independence" and recommend you to read it and I hope you will find the right answers for yourself.

Money is a tool required to survive. People who understand their requirements very well (basic requirements for ours and our family's well being), are not much bothered about money.
But money can by pleasures, and most of the people long for pleasures. Lack of money restricts them from those pleasures. That causes so called unhappiness. And I believe, this unhappiness hasn't got much to do with lack of money. It's more related to our own instincts. If we understand that true happiness doesnot lie in these pleasures, but in spritiual pleasures, we would never be unhappy about it. Rich is not the one who has a lot of money, rich is the one who can manage himself within what he has!!!
All the best...

If you're unhappy for lacking money, it's because somewhere within, you hold the belief that you can't make it or that there's not enough around for you.
That keeps you where you are in relationship with it. Therefore you can't expect to attract it this way.
That's a law of life.
You can't want something and resent not having it (or be angry or envious of others about it) at the same time.
The ones who do this will most likely vote against this answer. But if they're honest, they'll know what I'm talking about... Instead you should consider this seriously and start changing your mind and the feelings you have about money.
You want proof...? Ask any successful person how they regard and what they think about money...

that's a witty question.
hmmm...from my experience i can say that money really can't buy happiness but it can quantify it. lack of money causes unhappiness but it cannot cause helplessness. lack of positive emotions causes helplessness.
for a father who doesn't have money...doesn't bother that much about himself as much as he bothers about his family's happiness which causes unhappiness.
for a good student...who doesn't have enough money to buy required books...computer etc etc...causes him unhappiness because he cannot use his talent.
for a dreamer...lack of money causes unhappiness because he simply cannot get things which make up his dreams.
so lack of money causes the lack of things/requirements which causes unhappiness....but will, love, strength, dedication backs the person....and doesn't let the person break down. so in the end money doesn't have that much value in front of emotions. which includes happiness. but money is important. can't deny that.

Happiness is a state of mind and it has nothing to do with one's material possession.Unhappiness is not what lack of money causes, but it's dissatisfaction.Let's always remember that true happiness lies within a pure and contented heart. Will Bill Gates be the happiest person of all?

We have been raised to believe that material possessions are what makes us important and feel self-fulfilled, as if we have accomplished something by having so much stuff. I feel if you have the Lord in your life and you praise him at all times, including during your struggles, you will be provided with everything you need by him and you won't feel unhappy for not having so much money. I do not have very much money at all, and I am currently going through a season but I will continue to praise my Lord because I know he will provide me with everything I need.

Because those that may say that may mean it until the money isn't as high. The lack of money causes unhappiness becuase it creates jelousy. The want and lust for more. That is unless you don't have enough money in which you can not buy enough necessities, then it definatly causes unhappiness. But it is only when money is spent and used wisely that it creates happiness.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

No Money = poverty
poverty = hunger, illness, discomfort
This is if you are thinking in terms of black and white. But pretty much it's not the green paper or the silver coins, or the zeros on your bank statement. It's the freedom to do whatever you want whenever you want that makes you happy if you are rich.

it's not the lack of money it's the lack of being complete. the fact that you don't have money has nothing to do with it. money would make the journey easier. for example you could pay for meditation class. the money has no value, it is simply a trading tool to make it easier to gain more of yourself. it has nothing to do with who you are it just makes it easier to find out. but it won't help at all if you can't let go of the love of money. and the belief that the money itself makes you happy.
