It's called blue screen of death

The blue screen of death (BSOD), is the informal name given by users to the Windows general protection fault (GPF) error. Named in honor of the error's dreaded display image of white text on a blue background, the BSOD is generated by the operating system when it has suddenly terminated with an error. The system locks up and must be rebooted. The blue screen may include some hexadecimal values from a core dump that can potentially be used to determine what caused the crash.

9 times ot of 10 it's down to your Random Access Memory (RAM) so a chip may be going down so be prepair to get some new RAM soon. Also if you have just in-stalled some new software, delete it and see if that could have caused it.

It is a blue screen of death, it may in some cases be caused by a virus, could be a hardware fault of could be a problem with some piece of software of some kind. To be honest from just having a blue screen its hard to diagnose as it could be almost anything.

If it only happens once you should be OK. If you have installed any new hardware or software try removing it.

Congratulations, you have just experienced your first Windows "Blue Screen of Death" (BSOD).

The occurs when Windows totally crashes. Normally a reboot brings things back to normal.

It is not a virus and trust me, you will experience many many more BSODs in your lifetime. Everyone does.

Sounds like Windoze Blue Screen of Death. This will occur occasionally upon total software/hardware failure, only option is to restart/power off.

If it occurs again, you may need to look at recent software or hardware you have installed, or consider that old hardware may be failing.

Your PC does not feel well see a PC doctor. By the way my friend's PC turned pink and with the glare of spring time he cannot see anything that drives him up the wall. Contact my friend please if you find the cure.
