This is a perfect example of when the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, apart from Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin were better at their instruments. Jimi Page was better than George Harrison, no contest that John Bonham was better than Ringo and the vocals, well since the Beatles shared that role it's hard to judge Robert Plant against that. What made the Beatles better was their pioneering into music and incorporating different aspects, they introduced the Western music scene to the sitar for goodness sake. The lyrics and song compilations were also ahead of their time. Also they were cheeky and funnier than Led Zep which counts for something, basically my point is the Beatles were better, not by much. Fan of both

I would definately have to say Led Zeppelin!!! They were more in my time than the Beatles. Led Zeppelin can still carry the title of Rock moreso than the Beatles nowadays. Ok now I need to hear Stairway to Heaven for the billionth time today lol.

I say Led Zeppelin. The Beatles don't suck. They are good.
And i would have paid money to see them perform...But, Not on the same night when Zeppelin is in town. Let it be, Come together and Hey Jude are classics. But, Nothing compares to Page and Plant's Stairway to heaven or Rock and Roll.
Both are good, But, Can't see how you can compare those 2.
Different styles of music. Its like comparing Journey to Megadeth.... The Beatles are good...But, Zeppelin is my pick..

its really an opinion but technically the Beatles are far better then led zeppelin sorry but its a fact! I love the beatles a lot more then zeppelin and I even have Rolling stones magazine on my side who named the beatles the greatest artist of all time!!! i know thats kinda dumb because they can't just assume there will neevr be anyone better! but w/e i think they're great and so far the highest selling band of all...so far...time! They lasted for ten years but they're music will live forever! man that sounds lame but you know its true!

In my opinion, the Beatles will always remain at the top. They were just in a totally different league as far as songwriting went.
Led Zep will always be that classic metal-esque band that helped bring forth a lot of the current hard music that exists today. However, the beauty, complexity, and inspiration that the Beatles provided in their music is pretty much timeless and limitless. People are still inspired and hooked by their music all the time.
Not only did they influence generations of people, but they also helped bring about a lot of different ideas regarding the world and what was going on that still apply to things today.

If you want to go by who sold more albums?? then the Beatles are #1 and Zeppelin is #2 and that is over any other rock band in history.

Though I personally prefer Led Zeplin I would have to answer The Beatles. John, Ringo, Paul and George helped usher in a new era of rock and roll. With fans, men and women swooning over their music they have served as inspirations for many artists we know today. yeah Beatles were better.

i think that the Beatles were better..
the Beatles came up with SO many songs that everyone knows... you hear a Beatles song and everyone starts to sing along... but w/ led zeppelin you don't hear as many.. i know the Beatles had written about drugs but who has not
if you look into the Disney movies and listen you can catch SO many sex, drug and alcohol references you would not believe that it is a kid movie...
Beatles are and will always be a classic and who does not love them.
their songs are catchy and their are sad song, love songs, funny songs and much more..
the Beatles offer not only songs that our kids can listen to without them asking " mommy, what is a virgin" or something like that.
it is music i know i grew up with and many of us have...
Beatles also offer fun music to dance too.
So long story short the Beatles ROCK!
