i recently found out that i have premature ovarian failure. this means that i cannot have children and i went through "menopause" at age 20. (i.e. hot flashes, mood swings, etc) i've never had a menstrual period in my life. i kinda feel empty inside. how important is it really for a man to find a wife (who can bear children). i know that back in the day thats what womens main job was.. but its a different time.. am i broken and unrepairable?

You have the perfect chance to be a hero to a kid that needs a good home! You can foster or adopt. Any man would be lucky to have you!

Finding a man that will accept you the way you are right now isnt as important as working through the realization that you are going through with yourself.
But there is men in the world ( i know quite a few) that dont want children. They perfer to remain child free and they marry women who feel the same way. My brother in law for instance did not want children so he married my awesoem sister in law who had her sons and her tubes tied. Her sons were older so no baby stages.
But if you do find a man that you and him decide you do want a child there is always adoption or maybe a surrogate through donor.
I hope you are able to get through this and find a way of coping and finding a way to get through without feeling that you are broken because that seems like such a harsh word but i think it is more of you just have to find what makes you happy and how you can be that way.
The traditional ways may not work but there is other ways out there. And any man that truly wants to be with you will be willing to get through those issues also.

Don't ever say that. You are just fine. Men don't always need a baby to make them feel manly. There are plenty of men out there that are taking care of kids that aren't theirs. so maybe the adoption is the way for you. Or maybe you might have a sister who can donate her eggs for you. I don't think men need to find a wife who care bear children.

Keep your head up girl you are fine the way you were built, and if someone has a problem with that then you don't need that person. Cause technically you have lost someone that you'll never get back. Hope you find the right person. Cause you are a special person.

No, not at all. Your value does not depend on your having babies. Ask your doctor for help. Some men don't want children, some men already have children, some men are willing to adopt. You may be able to carry children using donor eggs and hormones. You have a lot of options. You are only broken if you decide you are, but you can love and be loved and be a mother, too.

There are a huge amount of men and women out there who have absolutely no need to have children in their lives and prefer to live a happy and wholesome life for themselves and their partners. Remember if you really wanted to have children you can always adopt. All the very best.

There is hope. About 5-10% of women can conceive with POF. It seems like a small number, but the chance of conceiving with no problems is 25%. POF does not mean you cannot carry a baby, it does not affect your uterus. So, you can carry a child with no problems.
