if we could it would have been pretty cool
we can't as we dont have the technology to change our gene that far

Humans evolve, but it takes generations for it to show any change,in order to evolve like the XMen,humans would have had to have a reason for that change, the human body evolves for survival and to keep the species going, right now athletes are getting faster, stronger and quicker than athletes from 50 or 60 years ago, thats why records keep being broken
As a member of the mutant family I can bend metal with my will power, but than again that's just me

you are mixing your ideas.
x-man are mutations - each one different.
evolve will be when all people take on the same (general) new abilities.
Could we mutate, possible but not without side affects.
will we evolve - if we do not wipe ourselfs out yes, in hundreds of years we will continue to change slowly.
We have gone from an average size of mankind being 5.2 to over 5.7 in less then 200 years. We have also regrettable loss our sense of smell and hearing over time.

Unfortunately there is reality to contend with, even with mutations. If you want wings, in theory, you could introduce the gene sequences into your genetic code, but they would replace your arms, You can't have both. Personally, the voyeur in me wants X-ray vision. But I'll take walking through walls or invisibility if that's all that's available.

It is entirely possible that given a large enough population and enough time, mutations could arise and be selected for creating people with traits and abilities similar to those of the X-Men. However, it is extremely unlikely considering the number of mutations that would have to occur and proliferate that this could happen in any finite amount of time.

Yes, I'm pretty sure because I've developed X-ray vision over the past month and have these metallic spindles sticking out of my palms and back. Did I also tell you that I can camouflage at will

I doubt it...
There are people with immune systems 7 to 14 times more active like wolverine -- but are usually crippled by the disease to a wheelchair.

why don't you just wait around and see if you evolve. if you are still the same by the time you die, then the answer is no.

i think most things in x-men are beyond the evolution people will go through. Also its not evolution if it happens to only one person.

We don't know. But I certainly want to be a mutant. A good-looking mutant that is.
