Sounds like you've got whaever it is that's going around.
at least I'm not the only one who can't sleep lately ...
what helps me sometiems is to turn on an oscillating fan and focus on the sound of the slowly wave-of sussurations* ... nicely linked to brain waves of some sort ... comforting
* "A faint, indistinct, or background sound resembling whispering. "

The mind is more powerful than any drug you can take. If you keep telling yourself that you cant sleep, you wont. Have a nice warm cup of milk/Milo, get comfortable in your bed with a teddy and you will go off to sleep.
