I understand why you have this perception. I voted for Bush twice and I will admit that he certainly isn't the brightest person to ever occupy the oval office. But no, I don't think he is crazy, mentally unbalanced, or anything else like that if that is what you are suggesting.
I think over the long-term, most of us place entirely too much hope in our governments and this is why over time we get frustrated, irritated and judgmental about the persons we elect to administer those entities. This is why I hate politics. If I focus on me and issues I can control, I stand the best chance of constructing for myself and my family a good life. Leaving it to "some government" to do for me what I can (and would rather) do for myself seems a more pragmatic and ultimately a more successful approach.

Emma, pretty astute view - and the really scary part is that a lot of people believe him. Blair's big mistake was in listening to this idiot. I am truly embarassed by the actions of Bush.

no, he is not mad
problem has been in the execution of his plans, which has been disastrous!!!!!! thanks largely in part to real idiots like Rumsfeld (who should have NEVER been Defense Secretary)
but his philosophy of tackling the REAL problem of the Middle East which is no Freedom, no Democracy, which in turn CREATES monsters like Osama and other Muslim fundamentalists because of the lack of any future for those people is right on....
..people do not become extremist if they have many options in their societies as a general rule, only the ones that see NO other option but violence and hate are the ones that become extremist!
and that is the problem in the Middle East, too many tyrants, too much strict rule, no Freedom , etc, which creates extremist..so if you eliminate those conditions by bringing Democracy to the region you eliminate the causes that create the extremists!! hence no more Osamas or Saddams, etc
so his vision is correct, bring Democracy to them, Osama Saddam were not created out of nothing, they are the result of years of oppresion and strick religious rule in that part of the world...! problem has been how the Bush administration went about changing that and bringing democracy there......which has been totally wrong!! militarily and politically.
and to the ones that disagree with my take..take a minute and REALLY think and analyse what has gone wrong in the last 15 years ok??? don't go by the political crap from BOTH parties, be REAL and think!! and then you will understand what I am talking about...the "Big Picture"

Well, at least on this particular question there are a lot of similar opinions.
However, opinions are like butt holes. Most everyones got one and they all stink.
Notice there is no proof of wrongdoing, just opinions. See sentence above.

You will get a lot of idiots on here making snide comments (see below), but it is because you are right. Bush has fired Generals until he found a General who was a "yes man". There was a bi-partisan commission on recommendation on the Iraqi War, and Bush not only refused to listen, but decided to ADD more troops to the war. Today, Tenet (who used to head the CIA) stated Bush and Cheney wanted to go to war in Iraq THE DAY AFTER 9/11, knowing they were not responsible.
Bush has become crazy with power, and many of us can't wait until he is no longer president.

his actions can be compared to a gambler's psychology. a gambler when he is loosing money increases his betting amount with a fond hope of winning the gambling. Iraq is bush's quagmire. he should have learnt a lesson from his predecessors why they failed in Vietnam.

Great way for you (in the U.S.) to spend your free time in your nice safe houses ragging on the president. Very good. Keep it up and when we as a country are so divided by hate and the Islamo-fascists who use terrorism in all forms of vile manners can just walk in and take over. You people have so little foresight it is frightening to me. But if bashing makes you feel better about yourselves by all means roll on liberal groupies roll on.

Bush is not mad and neither is he stupid, but you see that's what worries everyone so, and also he's a sort of demagogue these days, look at the amount of morons he's got supporting all his " madness" all the while masking his economic endeavors in the name of "fighting for our very freedom"

Dumbya and his Dick are sociopaths. Those who voted for them are stupid, and those who still support them are lunatics - haters and genocidal maniacs of one sort or another. Congratulations on the Britain's approaching freedom!
