When I heard that the Warriors beat the Mavericks in the season series, I thought it was pretty interesting, so I started rooting for them before the playoffs began

I am jumping on the Bandwagon, since my team (Portland Trailblazers) are a team thats a couple years away from making much noise and not in the playoffs. I think its really exciting for the GS Warriors to be making some noise in the playoffs. I am not sure if they will win the series, as I think Dallas will come back, but in the meantime I will root for the Warriors. Your question is interesting, becuase when I lived in the Bay Area, a few years back, they were promoting to people to come watch the Warriors, becuase other elite teams were playing them, such as the Lakers. I dont remember sold out arenas, or front page news, it was the easiest ticket in town to get. But I think its great for the Bay Area, and its longstanding fans, and every city will have "bandwagon fans" when they do well. This is why franchises work so hard to get winning teams, so the fans will jump on the bandwagon, start watching games, buying merchandise, etc.

No where near a bandwagon fan. Warriors fan circa 2001-2002(I'm still pretty young). Went through the nightmare years of St. Jean, and Monty and I know the team's history pretty damn well. Not a big fan of all the sudden bandwagon fans, but I guess it ain't THAT bad. Gotta take the good w/ the bad, right?
Oh yeah, Upperbowl/Nose bleeds seats > Floor seats anyday, Probably would only sit down there once for the experience, but nose bleeds and upper level are usually where all the diehards are at, not just people that got money in the bank.

Check my questions. While I don't fit the complete definition of a bandwagon fan since I am a diehard Suns fan, I am impressed by the heart of the Warriors and have decided that they are my new #2 team. But I make no bones about it. Part of the reason why is because I like underdog teams and I hate the Mavericks, and this underdog team is having their way with the Mavericks.
The only time I won't root for GS is when they're playing my Suns. Then I must despise them. I hope that clears things up.

i've got not got something to declare yet this If Golden State meets Dallas lower back and Dallas is going 70-12 interior the properly-known season (no longer even possibly). And Golden State meets them lower back and whoops their A**. Then Kudos Thank u Golden State followers for believing in them whilst thousands and thousands people knocked them off. Now those are some actual NBA followers. And the final time GS have been interior the playoffs have been interior the ninety's (ninety 4-ninety 5 i think of) hopped on.

Blazers fan here...let me say this I am probably considered band wagon...but I think its the idea of the biggest NBA playoff upset in NBA history (Dallas had 67 wins this season and would be the first 1 seed with that many to go down in the first round) that has people jumping on the GS bandwagon. Everybody loves an underdog...keep it up warriors!

Not me ... I am a Nets fan and I cannot see myself being a Warriors fan unless Kidd goes to GS next season (which is not possible). In terms of the West, I like the Spurs better. I am hoping for a repeat of 2002-2003 season when Nets played Spurs in the Finals but this time, Kidd will get his revenge and wins the Final MVP. I know it is a long shot but if u r a fan of a club, u should be loyal to that club!

Let me say I thought they were going to give the Mavs trouble but, I never thought this much trouble. I think that they were a completely underrated team that had a tough schedule down the stretch and won key games. So now I think they will finish it up in 5 even though the Mavs are a talented team. Yes I have cheered for Golden State not, because they won because I'm a Jazz fan and don't want to play the Mav's.

I think lots of people.
I remember last year when everyone jumped on the LA bandwagon after LA was up 3-1.
Dallas in seven.
The only way I'll believe is if Baron Davis can win this series.

I live in the Bay Area, but have been an on-and-off Warriors fan for a few years now, especially since I've been more of a baseball and football fan first. It pissed me off when we traded Jamison and Arenas away. I also liked Claxton, but man, I'll be the first one to admit that trade for Boom Dizzle was a godsend. Then when Dunleavy was signed to a long-term contract (I actually liked Murphy despite him being slow), I was mad. But right now, you can't help but get caught up in it, it's practically washing away the twelve years of pain and frustration.

Not me. I have always watched their games and I live in the Yay Area. When I miss their games, I get cranky and sad.
edit: yeah those celebrities are definitely bandwagon fans, i wish they werent there, theyre wasting seats and those seats should be for deserving fans. I wish they would go back to LA.
