If these women WORKED instead of depended on the Government for EVERYTHING - would they have time to be so promiscuous?

EVERYONE should pay their fair share, and EVERY "able bodied" head of household should have a JOB to support their families.

I agree with the sentiment to a certain extent. People who puposefully abuse the system ought to be ashamed of themselves. They are complete disgraces to society. I understand tough times hit people sometimes and think that as a society we should help those out in there times of need. Besides you are talking about a very small percentage of people. There are quite a few government programs I would like to see gotten rid of before this one.

I would like to add that working hard for what you have helps build character and doing the right thing by people makes you a better person. I have worked for near everything I have which is what my parents taught me to do. It has made me the reasonably succesful person I am today. It has also made me a happy person which I can say with a reasonable amount of assurity that these people who steal from the system are not.

I don't really think there are too many unwed mothers with 10 kids and 10 different dads around. Can you HONESTLY say that you know even one? Why are you perpetuating a stereotype that no longer exists? Didn't you hear Clinton signed a welfare reform bill that required able bodied recipients to work or lose their benefits about twelve years ago?

All you need to learn how to do is shut the hell up! all your questions are based on the rich, the president and blah blah blah!!! Some people dont have it as easy as you. You have four kids, do you work or sit on your *** all day? some people need this assistance greatly, while others yes, they do depend on the government on purpose. But their are some woman out there who could have had a lot and lost it. Im not married and I am proudly pregnant. This is my first child! I also have WIC. I dont work because I did lose everything from a car accident I was in. Life isnt easy. Its alot easier for others than it is for some people. You are just some rich snob who is against everyone who need financial assistance. Quit w/ the bs questions and worry about yourself instead of others!

This is probably the saddest thing you'll ever read about. My mother raised us on welfare. My brother who thanks to our dad was mentally disabled, was on social security which pays more than welfare. She got welfare for me,my sister (until she was 5 then she went to a foster home) and social security for my brother. So my mom got allot of money.
When I turned 14 my mother decided it was time to have another child because she needed more money and in 4 years I would be 18 and cut off from benefits.
So she got pregnant by a Mofo motorcycle gang member.
Now since social security pays more than welfare my mother decided she would have a child with disabilities to ensure she would always have this child with her and thereby never worry about being cut off from benefits again when the child turns 18.
So she drank only pepsi, ate donuts, candy, cake, ice cream, cookies, more pepsi, you get the idea.'
My mother made sure that my poor sister didn't have any nutrition what so ever to grow healthy so she would be born messed up.
And she was.
For starters she didn't have any cartelige in her ears.
And she was mentally very slow.
The poor thing was so messed up she couldn't even cry.
But my mom got what she wanted.
My sister qualified for social security and therefore securing my moms retirement.
So there are worse things than women who pop out kid after kid after kid just so they can make more money.
There's my mom.

You have a point but the great St. Ronald, 40th President of these United States once accurately pointed out that economically speaking, we were a stronger country when women stayed at home to raise children.

Like it or not, your first priority is to your children and you can't give them the attention they need if you're not at home. You can always have a career once the kids are grown.

a lot of women - promiscuous or not - place a higher level of importance upon motherhood than you do obviously. they have that right.

you should think about trying to have less disregard and venom for those whose lives haven't been as 'perfect' as your own. who gave you the right to dictate, anyway?

i have worked my whole life and am a dedicated republican but, hold absolutely nothing against those women i know who perhaps, didn't get such a great start in life, but whose worlds revolve around raising '10' happy and productive kids and as long as that is sincerely their motive, i have no problem with helping to foot the bill.

btw, that applies to gay single parents, too.

First of all....your stereotype is really off base. 10 kids, by 10 different fathers????? You've got to be kidding!! I'm from Dee-troit, and I've NEVER seen that!

Secondly, why shouldn't the dads take care of their children??

What "family values" are increased by having mothers leaving their children with child care workers, while they go off to low-paying jobs?

"Breed"??? I bet you didn't call it that when YOU had your children. You sound like you're talking about animals.

You are so off-base on this one, that I can't even laugh. Get a good night's sleep and we'll talk about it in the morning!

Pardon my asking, but do you actually KNOW or know OF any such people?

Or is this just another fictional "strawman" (or straw-woman) for you to rant against?

You do have issues with promiscuity, don't you?

I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying....

Yes, dear,"everyone SHOULD pay their fair share in life."

Tonight, get down on your knees and thank God that you've got a good husband who makes good money; not everyone is that fortunate.

And then, if you want to talk about "paying" your share, I once again encourage you to visit a couple other categories here at Answers, and avail others of your "knowledge and experience," instead of just posting rants here in Politics.

Know what, dear? There are always going to be people who are promiscuous and slackers. Welcome to the real world.

Just like there will always be people whose lifestyles raise the price of your health and auto insurance; bad drivers, smokers, the obese, etc.

As a society, all working people share that burden; it's just that some of us choose to continually rag about it and the rest of us just do our jobs...

Stop being so self-righteous and unsympathetic, for God's sake.

PS - Wow. I thought I was rather going "easy" on you, cause you've frequently commented that I was "mean." Looks like some of the women are unloading on you pretty good!

See...I'm not the ONLY one who thinks you're like a bag of potato chips ("most of this is air").

A mother that provides a way for 10 beautiful children to enter the planet has no time to work. One could be President or Speaker of the House some day. We must take care of Gods children--it is the Christian way.

Some of them do it on purpose so they won't have to work. I don't know about every state, but once the child gets to a certain age here the benefits dwindle, so they simply have more babies to stay in the system.

I once met a woman who was complaining about her 40 dollar co-pay (this was Medicaid, mind you) after having her 9th child. Yes, 9th. Her complaint was "I was gonna use that money to get my nails done." I about flipped my lid.

I've seen others, who live in free government housing, driving Lexus's, wearing name brand clothing and still have their hair done every week. It's angering. Here I am, a hard-working individual who earns every penny of my paycheck (including the kidney they take from me in taxes every month), and I can't even afford some of these luxuries.

When are they gonna pull these leeches off the system? I'm tired of supporting everyone and their baby's mamas.
