Bush is now subject to checks and balances.
The stock market is making a comeback.
People are beginning to see that global warming is real.
America is about to quit smoking altogether.
"Green Cars" are becoming mainstream.

Considering everything bad that has gone down, we Americans still love our country. Hope persists. Maybe that doesn't count, but that's really what's most important.

Well, the next Election is going to be really exciting & feature alot of "milestones" & firsts. The War will be over soon & our soldiers will be coming home once Mr. Bush leaves Office. It's almost Summer- & school will be out soon (Well YOU'RE a part of this Country Too!- Isn't THAT good news?! :) ). The next Harry Potter movie comes out in July & it's going to be AWESOME ! And if you get an "A" in this Class- it will deffinately be one of the most "positive" events happening in YOUR part of the Country!!! Good luck! :)

I'm not from America but I can relate as a person to you. Why is it so difficult for us to think of a global or Country wide positive outcomes, positive events? The media tends to saturate news with negative stories....all we relate to when it comes to news broadcasts is to negative reports...is it that happy news doesn't sell? Is it that us as a human race we tend to be drawn to the sadistic dark side? Frankly I'm sick of negative images, if we as a unified race promoted more positive reports and outcomes I would hope only that it would or could slowly change the World culture!!!!

But here is one for you! Al Gore....his contribution to the education of not only Americans but people from across the Globe...to the dealings and impact of Global Warming....he is a GREAT Ambassador to your country!!!!

The fact that we can communicate with one another via the internet this way is a postitive. In China, for instance, the internet is, at the very least, restricted by the government, thus limiting what use the people there can get out of it. Now, don't ask me to do your homework for you again!
