you sold someone a used computer for $75 and you loaded it into their car for them. they wrote you a check. they live 2 hours away. after they drove away you realized you forgot to give them the tower. when they get home, they call ya and say "you didnt give me the tower" and you tell them you will bring it to them....the weekend comes and you get called to work and cant bring it. something always comes up, and they dont get the rest of the computer. would you still cash the check?

No!

I wouldn't cash the check until I made sure they had the item.
In this situation, you could argue that both parties share responsiblility. One party forgot to load the tower into the car and the other didn't check. Maybe you could meet each other at a half way point.

I realize that life can be busy and "something always comes up" as you put it, but you need to make sure they get what they paid for, even if it's inconvenient for you.

peace

Not until you give them the tower. The only exception would be if you really know them real good. They might have already put a "Stop Payment" on the check.

Yes because they have your computer, but you need to make sure and give them everything that goes with it whether you find time for it or get someone to bring it over there for you.

Yes, but I would make good on my promise to deliver the tower first.
