Every time I go and visit my grandpa and grandma at their house my grandpa is waving at the tv and "mowing the carpet" WHY?

Awww...poor grandpa. It sucks to get old. Treat him with love & respect even when he's acting strange. It could be Alzheimers, demetia or just old age.

I suppose the most logical explanation would be that grandpa is just getting old.
It's no shock when people age their memories start to go, they get easily confused and even create scenarios in their heads. Sometimes the line between what goes on in their heads and reality gets blurred, causing grandpa to wave at the tv or "mow the carpet."
There's no easy way to deal with that so you may as well try waving with grandpa, or just talk to him.
