we want to impress those which we cannot. it makes no sense to think someone could hate us so we need to find out why, what we could have done. everyone needs to like us, or we will not like ourselves. the truth is we need to love ourselves first before we can accept anyone else's love as true.

It influences you because negative energy and events are remembered more than positive ones. I wouldprobably stay away from the negative person and if you can't, realize that they probably have some form of personality disorder that causes people to act like that, and/or is just jealous. Just stay away and things should be fine.

When you even think about a person , you May be giving him the central focal attention in your thoughts that you base your next thought /action on that person idea about you.
If you really want to have a cure , just banish that person from your thoughts . Do not increase his value for you by just thinking even.
Try and see the result . Your decisions will be more judgmental and your own.

All those negativity and hatred brought by you to him/her was inflicted out of hypocrisy. Meaning,he/she really meant so much to you but all you did was take that person for granted to see how she would react to your inflictions that made her/him hate you so much. In other simpler words, you love that person, but you didn't show any of that love. Thus, she/he plays a big role in your emotions which also can and will, if you allow it to, affect your reasoning power.

any ones opinion can influence what you think its not how someone feels about you that makes you think a certain way its the thoughts that they have placed in your mind that make you think a certain way...if someone who is negative toward me states their opinion to me its going to make me think about what they have said also its not how someone treats you but how much you value or agree with what this person has said...i hope this makes sense to you!!

They can not - unless you give them that power . Refuse to give it to them . Take a deeper breath next time and let your decisions be your own from now on . Forbid his/her hatred from touching you - by tuning them out and replacing a happier thought where negativism exists .

You are the only one who can give that person permission to influence you. You need to love yourself more than that person hates you, then they will stop influencing your decisions. Take away that power from them.

Well if you let them. I|f you ever cared about the person as well. My ex hates me,but used to really care about what he said. I dont know if that is anywhere close to your situation, but I have had that problem. You just have to tell yourself that it doesnt matter what they say. If it isnt constructive critisism or nice than dont listen to it.

Because you're hurt, and that causes you to be wary of being hurt in other situations. You might put walls up or become depressed, angry, bitter, etc. You hear their voice in your head and you want to prove them wrong.

My tenth grade english teacher once said that the opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference. I think any strong emotion affects us greatly, whether nice or not.
