Why do kids who don't skateboard wear skater shoes?

i used to wear them because i skateboarded. i don't skate anymore and i still buy them. they are comfortable and i think they look good. The skate shoe companies really keep up with things. there are many different styles and types to buy.

Because the worlds is full of posers, because, naturally, a lot of us would like to be part of the skateboarding community and we just do not have the urge, the drive or, why not, the talent and patience to get there. Unfortunately for them, what they're not aware of is that a skateboarder consists of a lot more than mere skateboarding shoes. Wear them as they may, they are not worthy of the shoes they are wearing.

They are comfortable.. My friend wears them and he doesn't skate, he likes how they look and they are really comfy, I used to wear them before I skateboarded as well. Just 'cause..

trends. people wear running shoes, basketball shoes, when they don't do any of that

but i gotta admit some are ok. i would only wear vans though, and that's if I was going on vacation, or relaxing somewhere sunny and hot.
