abraham lincoln is not african american? i know right!!? of all the pictures i've seen, i really thought he was, but he's white..oops..i'm a big history person..just thought i'd ask that question..

I was reading a couple of articles the other day because the History Channel was broadcasting their new special concerning General Sherman. The articles I was reading were concerned over the election of 1864. Mudslinging is nothing new to the political arena.Concerning your point, there was this dialogue of one person to another discussing Abraham Lincoln's lineage and how he was from mixed ancestry or how he looked like a baboon or even his large ears. So you see your question did show an air of aptitude and attitude of the day and pictures can be deceiving.
