Hold the thermometer on the light bulb and then call your mom in the room and hurry and put the thermometer in your mouth and tell her you have a fever and you dont feel good

I always skip school. Easiest way is to fake sickness. OK heres what you do you tell your parents the night before that your not feeling well then try to wake up early and apply friction to your head then when your mom or dad come and feel your forehead youll be warm. also try to cough every now and then. When they leave apply more friction so your head continues to keep warm. then they leave for work and you have the house all to yourself. CAREFUL your parents might get all nervous and take you to a doctor and then youre really busted. Try it and please let me know how it goes. GOOD LUCK

I used to tell my mother that I missed the bus.. cause I knew she wouldn't take me...
Also.. I used to put a blowdryer up to my forward and tell my dad I wasn't feeling well... that way it seemed like i had a fever
